Youth Transition Services
Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Youth Transition Services support young people with disabilities as they move from school into adulthood. These services help students ages 14–22 explore careers, learn self-advocacy, build workplace readiness, and gain real work experience. Eligible students include those with a 504 Plan or an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
Career Camps
VR Career Camps help youth transition from high school to postsecondary opportunities such as college, technical training, or employment. Providers create exciting camp experiences during school breaks using bundled Pre-ETS services like work readiness, career exploration, self-advocacy, and postsecondary counseling.
Work Readiness Training
Work readiness (or soft skills) training prepares students with essential behaviors and skills expected in the workplace. Instruction may include job communication, teamwork, problem solving, interviewing, resume writing, and professional behavior.
Work-Based Learning Experience
Work-Based Learning Experiences (WBLE) provide real-world work opportunities for students with disabilities. These hands-on experiences help youth connect classroom knowledge to workplace expectations, explore career interests, and gain valuable employability skills.
